Why This Website Exists
Healthcare professionals facing addiction often don't know where to turn, who they can safely talk to, or what may happen if their addiction becomes known to a licensing board or employer. Concerns about confidentiality, professional reputation, and being recognized can make reaching out for help especially difficult.
Caduceus meetings offer something important: peer support built on trust and respect for privacy among healthcare professionals who understand both addiction and the professional concerns that can come with it. Yet the privacy that makes these meetings feel safe has also made many of them difficult to find. Meeting information may not be publicly listed, and traditionally, finding a group often depended on knowing someone who already knew where to look.
That is beginning to change. Many Caduceus groups recognize the importance of making peer support easier to find while continuing to protect the privacy and independence of their meetings.
Caduceus Recovery was created to help bridge that gap.
The goal is simple: make free, closed, peer-support meetings easier to find while respecting the privacy of the groups and the people who attend them. Healthcare professionals can connect directly with a group contact to find a safe place to begin, while each group maintains control over access to its meeting.
Sometimes the hardest part is knowing where to turn. This site is intended to make that first step a little easier.
All peer-support meetings listed on this website are free to attend, with no membership fees or dues.
